Discovering the Natural Beauty of National Dong Hwa University
National Dong Hwa University, located in the picturesque city of Hualien, Taiwan, is not only renowned for its academic excellence but also for its stunning natural surroundings. I took the photos below myself, capturing moments when I first felt the beauty and tranquility of this campus.
The image showcases a large, open grass field next to the university’s artistic teaching building. Surrounding the field are trees that line the road, creating a peaceful atmosphere where nature and campus life seamlessly coexist. It is a common sight to see animals in this environment, adding to the charm. For example, during the summer, you can hear the croaking of frogs, while rainy days bring a curious spectacle: snails slowly crawling along the paths, both inside and outside the dormitories. The sight of these creatures makes you more mindful of your surroundings, adding a bit of whimsy to daily life on campus.
The scenery at Dong Hwa is simply breathtaking. The campus is a perfect place to connect with nature, with pleasant weather year-round that makes every moment feel comfortable. After class, cycling through the campus with the wind in your hair, that is really pleasant in the first moment, and soon you will find yourself soaking in the beautiful view. It is a moment when all your worries seem to disappear, and you are left with nothing but peace and serenity.
Looking into the second picture, the sunlight is so striking that it almost feels as if the world is being touched by something divine. The clouds, ever-changing, wrap around the surrounding mountains and drift past the school library, creating a majestic scene that is awe-inspiring. I remember standing there in silence, completely mesmerized by the natural magnificence before me.
All in all, National Dong Hwa University is a truly magical place, where nature, education, and student life come together harmoniously. It is a destination worth visiting, not only for its academic programs but also for the unforgettable landscapes that surround it.
